The Iralepo of Isinkan Kingdom in Akure South local government área of Ondo State, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ajimokunola Olofin-Adimula (Arulewolasi III), has been honoured with the Southwest Royal Father of the Year and Peace-Loving Royal Father Award in recognition of his commitment to peaceful coexistence and exemplary leadership.
The award ceremony, organised by Heralds Magazine Southwest, held on Sunday at the Ondo State Property Development Corporation Event Centre.
Speaking during the presentation, the organiser of the award, Otunba Adu Oluwatayo Moses, said the monarch emerged as the unanimous choice of the selection committee after a rigorous screening of nominees across the South-West region.
He noted that the recognition was in appreciation of the monarch’s strength of character, honour, candour and commitment to peaceful coexistence among neighbouring communities.
According to him, since ascending the throne of his forebears, the Iralepo has demonstrated patience, tolerance and maturity in handling traditional and communal matters.
“Within the few years of his reign, Kabiyesi has become a reference point among royal fathers who uphold integrity, humility and transparency in leadership,” he said.
The Iralepo of Isinkan, Oba Olofin-Adimula expressed gratitude to the organisers for the honour, describing it as a motivation to do more in promoting peace and development.
“This recognition is not only for me but for the entire people of Isinkan Kingdom. It will further inspire us to sustain peace, unity and progress in our community and beyond,” the monarch said.
He also called on residents and stakeholders to continue to embrace dialogue, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence as vital tools for sustainable community development.
The event attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, government officials and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the monarch’s contributions to peace building in the South-West.
