How Two mobile policemen died in Akure crash, 8 cheat death

It was a black Tuesday in Akure, the Ondo state capital along Airport when two mobile policemen today lost their lives in a fatal accident along Oba-Ile road, Akure North local government of Ondo state.

SUNSHINETRUTH gathered that the accident was caused by over speeding and the police driver lost control in the process.

Eight others were said to have been critically injured.

An eyewitnesses said Police hilux van somersaulted several times before hitting a pavement due to over-speeding by the driver.

Ondo Police spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the accident but said two of their men were lost, while other people that sustained various degrees of injuries are at the police clinic receiving treatment.

Spokesperson for the Onde Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Omotola Ogungbawo, also confirmed the development.
