Gunmen kill Ortom’s security adviser

The Senior special assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue, on security matters, Christopher Dega, has been killed by gunmen.

Dega who is retired assistant inspector-general of police, was killed on Tuesday in Jos, Plateau state.

Spokesperson to the governor, Terver Akase confirmed the incident.

Also confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Plateau State, Gabriel Ubah said AIG Dega was shot in an isolated restaurant at Bukuru in Jos.

He said investigations so far appeared that he was trailed and shot.

Ubah however announced that some suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder as an investigation is ongoing.
