A non governmental organization, Exemplar friends club international has provided free medical services to hundreds of people in Akure to promote a healthy society.
President of the club, Olajide Animashaun said the gesture was to assist the people especially the less privileged know their health status without bordering their pockets.
The exercise is an annual ritual for Exemplar friends club international to provide free medical screening to the people in line with it’s responsibilities of promoting a healthy society.
The club has done it again this year and hundreds of residents of Akure, the Ondo State capital benefitted from the club’s humanitarian services.
Held at the palace of Osolo, the exercise afforded both young and old including an 85-year-old Mrs Ogunro access to free health screening and consultancy services from the team of health professionals.
They checked for blood pressure, body mass index, weight and blood glucose, important health parameters vital for human existence, as other beneficiaries hailed the Club for the gesture.
The club is made up of individuals passionate about the well-being of people of their community and doing all they can to compliment government’s effort for a healthy society.
President of the club, Olajide Animashaun who spoke through the General secretary, Akinola Omotayo said the free health screening members of the Public clogged by financial challenge in knowing their health status.
“Today, the project committee under the leadership of Hon. Dr. Tayo Alade directed this program and other projects we have done this year.
We all know that health is wealth. It is important that we take care of ourselves and do things that will improve our health outcomes. It is also understandable that the ability and or the accessibility may be lacking among us. Such has geared us to promote this program and we are grateful that the seed in our mind germinated and comes to life.”
He said the Club has also assisted many indigent students as it advances in its community service missions.
“EFCI is a social club that cares about the members of the club and borne to serve the community at large. We have many community projects among which are:
1. Yearly scholarship for students
2. Orphanage outreach
3. Health Screening program.
4. Help mete for membersand others as to mention a few.*
The Exemplar friends club international is a social club that seeks to provide community support on health screening, orphanage outreach, skills and financial support, scholarship among others to make the society a better place for all.

I bring greetings from all members of EFCI both home and abroad to us and say a big thank you for coming to this program.
And has you have honored our call, God will honor you and your household as well.A big thanks to Kabiyesi Osolo of Isolo and the chiefs in council for the opportunity accord us to accept this program in this venue for the betterment of the community people , may your reign be long and a big thanks to the chiefs as well.

To the glory of God, the project committee under the leadership of Hon. Sunday Esho recorded a great success in the past and we are grateful to God for what we achieved so far.

At today’s screening, you will have the opportunity to check and know your health status about the followings:
1. Blood pressure
2. Body Mass Index ( BMI)
3. Weight
4. Blood glucose
All these health parameters are very vital to our existence and should be checked periodically and monitored regularly as the case may be to improve our health status.
Many people have died in our society just by failing to know their health status and a simple regular check up of blood pressure could have kept them alive today.
So, we encourage you to utilize these 2 days to update your health indicators and act accordingly to improve your health and prolong your life. Be your brother’s keeper by inviting friends and family members to this program to partake in this FREE exercise.
The General Secretary of EFCI Hon. Akinola Omotayo is at your disposal to answer any questions about the club and the program.
