Following the wanton destruction of property across Ondo state by some miscreants who acted under #EndSARS Protest, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has continued to count it’s losses over the incident.
The hoodlums looted and set ablaze the APC and the PDP Secretariats, the State governor campaign office, and other public property across the state.
Receiving leadership of the Ondo State Online News Publishers led by the Secretary, Temitope Adedeji who paid the party’s state executives sympathy visit in Akure, the state APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, described the attack on his party’s Secretariat as unwarranted and unjustifiable.
Engr. Ade Adetimehin who hinted that the crisis was orchestrated by political thugs as so many campaign materials of the party were destroyed, however, noted that APC family had forgiven the perpetrators for they know not what they’re doing.
He appealed to the genuine protesters to maintain peace saying in a situation like this, it was better for parties involved to embrace jar jar while admonishing the orchestrators of property destruction to think twice by realising that the state belong to everyone and shouldn’t be turned to an epicenter of crisis.
Adetimehin who is confident that the party would soon bounce back and overcome the damage, noted that it was evident God is on their side considering the mandate given to APC by the people of the state at the just concluded gubernatorial election.
He reiterated the commitment of the party to ensure relative peace in the State, saying by antecedents, APC hadn’t been known for crisis, hence the reason the leadership of the party quickly rose to the task of suppressing the crisis.
Adetimehin appreciated the move of the online Journalists, describing it as the noble and timely.
Earlier, Adedeji said the Association was on a sympathy visit to the Secretariat to identify and sympathize with the party over the unfortunate burning of its Secretariat and to also have on-the-spot assessment of the incident.
