Akeredolu, APC, NIPR, NULGE Congratulate Ondo NUJ Exco

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated the Nigeria Union of Journalist, (NUJ) Ondo State Council, in its recent concluded election.

Also, the party also congratulated the newly elected Chairman, Mr Adetona Aderoboye and other executive committee members.

This is contained in a Press Statement signed by Steve Otaloro, state APC Director of Media & Publicity.

APC Admonishes the new Ondo NUJ Exco.

We congratulate the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Ondo State Council, in its recent concluded election. Also, we congratulate the newly elected Chairman, Mr Adetona Aderoboye and other executive committee members.

The reports at our disposal shown that due process and democratic procedure characterised the entire election activities. This, as you would attest to, is in line with what our party, the APC and Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu represent.

We commend your renewed peaceful interrelationship, unfragmented affinity, commitment to good democratic values and oneness of purpose in the union.

We beseech the new Executive Committee to commit their tenure to true sportsmanship, professionalism, one devoid of rancour and pettiness.

Also, we charge you to work towards ostracizing fake journalists from your profession and fake news peddler. The authenticity of Information has become a longstanding issue affecting our society, both for printed and digital media.

On social networks, the reach and effects of information spread occur at such a fast pace and so amplified that distorted, inaccurate or false information acquires a tremendous potential to cause real world impacts, within minutes, for millions of users.

We look forward to a robust relationship with your new executive committee. We look forward to a partnership of good projection of the Project Nigeria.

*NULGE CONGRATULATES NEW ONDO NUJ EXCO*

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE ), Ondo State Chapter, on behalf of the entire workers in the local government service of Ondo State heartily and sincerely felicitate an iconic journalist, erudite scholar, dynamic unionist Comrade Adetona Aderoboye on his landslide victory as the Chairman of the Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ ).

With all intent and purposes, your overwhelming success did not come to us as a surprise, rather, we see it as a crown to your brilliance, unalloyed commitment, hard work, sincerity and unquantifiable contributions not only to the Noble Pen Profession, but also to humanity in general.

The resoluteness of members of the NUJ to ensure and maintain a virile Unionism devoid of unnecessary and unsolicited incursions into the union is highly commendable!

PRESS STATEMENT

*AKEREDOLU CONGRATULATES NEW ONDO NUJ OFFICERS*

Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, congratulates members and the new leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ondo State Council over the successful conduct of last Thursday election of the Union.

The Governor looks forward to a robust working relationship and a harmonious partnership with the new leadership and the NUJ as a whole in the state.

He enjoins the Council, as partner in progress, to support the government in its developmental revolution across the state by projecting government’s policies and programs and enlightening the people adequately.

Akeredolu challenges media professionals in the state and the country at large to uphold the ethics of their profession, which he describes as the core eyes of the people.

He added that fair and accurate reportage must not be compromised on any ground as the media owe it a duty to be by the side of truth always.

Akeredolu reiterated his administration’s open door policy, especially as it relates to the media and its assured uphold of their right to perform their assigned roles within the provision of the constitution.
