No fewer than ten persons were feared killed last night in a fatal road accident involving a truck and an eighteen seater bus at the Olu foam junction, along Ilesa/Akure/Owo Expressway, Àkúré, the Ondo State Capital.
Witnesses told our reporter that the accident involved a trailer with registration number KJA 14 XW which collided with the bus from the opposite direction while avoiding a collision with an okada rider.
It was gathered that the trailer eventually crushed the okada rider before colliding with the bus marked USL 498 XB.
The bus was loaded with eighteen passengers including four underage children.
Sympathisers and residents rallied the victims and assisted officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps to evacuate the victims to the ondo state UNIMED Teaching Hospital in Àkúré while the corpses of the deceased were also deposited at the morgue of the hospital.
